Historic Reiff Haus Bed & Breakfast
The Historic Reiff Haus is a newly restored bed and breakfast in the former J. Reiff Hotel and Saloon, circa 1871.
If you were a traveler to the bustling river port of Hermann in late 1800s, you might have enjoyed the fine local beers and wines served at the saloon and friendly hospitality dispensed by Amalia and John Reiff. Today innkeeper Hoyt Stemme continues the Reiff Haus tradition of Old-World hospitality.
The Reiff Haus is located in Hermann’s downtown historic district in the heart of Missouri wine country. The historic bed and breakfast is within walking distance of Hermann’s many shops, wineries, restaurants, taverns, museums and the Amtrak station. We offer two King units and 1 Queen unit, each with a private bath. Our Penthouse Suite, featuring a Queen-size bed, private whirlpool bath and sitting room is perfect for a romantic getaway. Guests will find the softest terry cloth robes in each of our rooms.
Our charming downstairs dining room offers a Keurig coffee maker, and a refrigerator stocked with complimentary soda, water and ice cream sandwiches for our guests. Each of our rooms features cable TV and free in-room Wi-Fi access.
The snack fairy visits every evening with one of the following homemade treats; brownies, chocolate chip cookies, turtles or peppermint oatmeal cookies.
The Historic Reiff Haus is a completely smoke-free building.
John Reiff Room
Once the private domain of our founder, the John Reiff Room is decorated in florals and antiques. Wonderful hardwood floors, a cherry four-poster King bed and a private balcony make this room a favorite with guests. A spacious adjacent private bath has a shower only. Amalia Reiff Room
Named for the wife of our founder, The Amalia Reiff Room is furnished with lovely antiques. Beautiful hardwood floors, a king-size iron bed and a fireplace make the Amalia Room a charming retreat. An adjacent large private bath has a shower only. Enjoy cable TV and free in-room Wi-Fi access.
Lillian Reiff Room
Named for John and Amalia Reiff’s daughter, this room features antique oak furnishings; a Queen bed, and a princess-style Victorian dresser and chair. An adjacent private bath has a shower only. Enjoy cable TV and free in-room Wi-Fi access.
